OLD IDEA
This Limited Archive Release is a glimpse into the early days of our organic barley work. Originally bottled in 2013 for travel retail, it reflects the point where we were reconnecting barley, soil and distiller in a way that had largely disappeared from modern Scotch whisky.
The grain was grown organically on three Scottish farms - Mains of Tullibardine, Mid Coul, and Coulmore - without artificial inputs and malted under organic specification. Distilled slowly at Bruichladdich Distillery and matured in American oak casks, the whisky has a soft, creamy character with bright cereal sweetness and a clean, natural profile.
Releasing it through our archive series lets us share pieces of our past exactly as they were: no reworking, no reinterpretation, just whisky from a different moment in our journey.

Our Bruichladdich whisky range is unpeated, floral and complex. Trickle distilled from 100% Scottish barley using much of the original Victorian machinery, the methods employed by our craftsmen have continued unchanged. This is natural whisky, non-chill filtered and colouring free.
