The Classic Laddie Sherry Cask Edition takes our definitive unpeated Islay single malt Scotch whisky and offers it a new perspective - one shaped by cask influence, Islay maturation and time.
Each batch begins with our floral, citrus-led house style, distilled from Scottish-grown barley, including a proportion of biodynamic grain from a carbon-positive farm in Wiltshire. After an initial maturation, the spirit is further rested in Oloroso sherry casks from Fernando de Casilla in Jerez, Spain. The result is unmistakably Bruichladdich, but with added depth, dried fruit richness and soft oak spice.
Matured exclusively on Islay and bottled at 50% ABC without chill filtration or added colour, this is a single malt whisky that reflects provenance, process and a quiet confidence in flavour.
There’s no formula here. Just careful cask selection and the quiet judgement of our Head Distiller, Adam Hannett.
Each batch of the Classic Laddie Sherry Cask Edition is composed by hand. Different barley, different ages, different casks, assembled to reflect our house style, then finished in Oloroso casks for 9 to 12 months.
It’s a process that resists automation. Everything is nosed, tasted, assessed. Only then is it brought together. A practice of patience, not precision.

Our Bruichladdich whisky range is unpeated, floral and complex. Trickle distilled from 100% Scottish barley using much of the original Victorian machinery, the methods employed by our craftsmen have continued unchanged. This is natural whisky, non-chill filtered and colouring free.
