5 aged years, 40PPM, and bottled at 63.5% ABV, this is Port Charlotte in its formative years: bold, smoky and alive with bright citrus, orchard fruit and soft caramel.

On May 29th 2001, the Bruichladdich stills ran again for the first time. The first liquid that came off the stills was the heavily peated single malt we know today as Port Charlotte. Bottled five years later as Bruichladdich’s first release as a reopened distillery, PC5 defined Port Charlotte’s signature sweet barbecue smoke profile. Just as former Master Distiller, Jim McEwan, was featured on the original, this reimagined PC5 release features current Master Blender, Adam Hannett, in its design.
